Video Production for Home Services & Contractors
Video Production for Home Services & Contractors
Piper Media Group is a veteran-owned video production company based in St. Louis, helping home services businesses and contractors across the Midwest win more jobs through video.
Home services is a trust-first industry. Homeowners don’t just hire contractors — they invite them into their homes. Before that phone rings, they’ve already watched three or four contractors’ videos, read a dozen reviews, and decided who feels like the right fit. Video is how you become that contractor: the one who looks professional, sounds credible, and has clearly done the work before.
Whether you run an HVAC company, roofing crew, plumbing outfit, remodeling firm, landscaping business, or any skilled-trade shop, we help you build a library of video content that works for you 24/7 — on your website, in your ads, in your sales follow-ups, and in your recruitment process.

FAQs
What kinds of home services and contractor businesses do you work with?
We produce video for a wide range of home services companies: HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, remodeling, landscaping, pest control, cleaning, pool services, solar, garage door, window and siding, flooring, painting, and general contractors. If homeowners are your customers, our process fits.
How much does video production cost for a home services company?
Projects start at $2,500. Final pricing depends on the type of video (testimonial, brand story, ad, etc.), number of shoot days, travel, on-camera talent, and the scope of editing required. Every quote is customized so you only pay for what you actually need. Get in touch for a personalized quote.
How long does the video production process take?
A typical project runs four to six weeks from kickoff to final delivery. That includes a discovery call, a pre-production planning session, the actual shoot day, and two rounds of post-production revisions. Tight deadlines can be accommodated — let us know what you’re working with and we’ll tell you what’s realistic.
Do you film on actual job sites?
Yes — we shoot on location all the time. Rooftops, crawl spaces, active remodels, new construction sites, shop floors, commercial projects, and occupied homes. Our crew works around active work without getting in the way. We coordinate with your project manager so filming doesn’t slow the job down.
What video types work best for home services and contractors?
Three consistently outperform: client testimonial videos (for trust), brand story videos (for differentiation), and social media ads (for lead generation). Many clients start with a bundle of all three.
Do you help with strategy, or just the shoot itself?
Both. Every project starts with a discovery call and strategy session where we map out what videos you need, where they’ll be used, and what outcomes they need to drive. The shoot and edit are the visible part of the work — the strategy is what makes them pay off.
Will you write the script and coach on-camera talent?
Yes. We handle scripting, storyboarding, and on-camera coaching. Most home services owners and technicians aren’t used to being on camera — our director’s job is to make them feel relaxed and sound natural. If you’d rather use a professional spokesperson, we can arrange that too.
Do you handle customer testimonial videos end-to-end?
Yes. We can coordinate the customer, travel to their home or business, conduct the interview, capture supporting footage of the work, and deliver a polished testimonial. You just identify a few happy customers who’d be willing to go on camera — we take it from there. Learn more about our testimonial service.
Can you help with recruitment videos to attract skilled trades workers?
Absolutely. Labor is the #1 pain point in home services right now, and a well-made recruitment video does two things: it attracts the right applicants and it filters out the wrong ones. We’ve helped contractors fill technician, installer, and estimator roles faster using video in their job postings.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in St. Louis, Missouri and serve home services companies throughout Missouri, Illinois, and the greater Midwest. We travel for shoots when the project makes sense. Get in touch with your location and we’ll let you know what’s feasible.
